September round-up!
09/13 - Marc Broussard played Turner Hall. My friend restored his Ford ‘64 truck to its original colours and converted all that junk under the trunk (hood, rather) into a biodiesel engine. If you’re looking for a chick magnet, this is it—we stumbled upon several MILFs having a photoshoot with the truck in the parking lot.

A strange arrangement
M: “You’re strange today.”
Me: “What’s strange?”
M: “I don’t know!”

He had me at volcano.
Do you like volatile volcanoes? Ancient ruins? Brewing tropical storms? Rock formations? Hengki Koentjoro takes you through the rich surroundings of the Indonesian archipelago, with more textures on his medium-format images than you can shake a stick at (digital photography what?).

You're in Milwaukee, off your feet
Guess who got to see Wisconsin’s favourite musical export start off their tour at Milwaukee’s Riverside Theater! Bon Iver played to sold-out crowds on both nights here, unsurprisingly. In fact, only a handful of the shows they play on this tour have not sold out yet.
The Riverside was filled to the brim, the air uncomfortably thick, and the humidity made it seem like the air...

Momma once told me you're already home where you...
My state ID just came in the mail and now the “home” tally based on government-issued identifications is three: Indonesia, Singapore and Wisconsin. It’s a more accurate reflection on what “feels” like home: all of it, and yet none of it. Being in one place only feels a fraction of home—whenever I’m in one place, it isn’t long before the yearning for another kicks in.
While all this sounds like...
